These are some good foods when your baby's starting on solids.

Vegetables (potato, pumpkin, kumara, kamokamo, cassava), bought baby food, baby cereal, rice,  bowls of meat and legumes, fruit (apple, pear, mango, banana)

Iron-fortified infant cereal or baby rice.

Cooked and puréed beef, lamb, pork, chicken or fish or vegetarian alternatives (such as cooked and puréed lentils).
