The partners behind KidsHealth

The KidsHealth website has been created by a partnership between the Paediatric Society of New Zealand  - Te Kāhui Mātai Arotamariki o Aotearoa (PSNZ) and the Starship Foundation, supported and funded by Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand.

Paediatric Society of New Zealand - Te Kāhui Mātai Arotamariki o Aotearoa

PSNZ is a multidisciplinary society committed to improving the health of tamariki and rangatahi. With its membership of a broad range of child and youth health professionals, PSNZ is well placed to develop content for the KidsHealth website that is helpful for parents and is up-to-date, accurate and valid.

What we can achieve together

Together, our mission is to provide parents, caregivers and whānau with accurate and reliable information about the health and wellbeing of tamariki and rangatahi in Aotearoa.

What you can find on KidsHealth

KidsHealth is growing all the time so please keep checking back if your topic isn't covered.

On the KidsHealth website New Zealand parents, caregivers and whānau will find accurate and reliable information about the health of their tamariki. KidsHealth content has been developed with substantial input from many professionals, experts and parents from all over New Zealand. Content continues to be added, refined and amended based on expert clinical advice. It includes information organised into 2 main sections:

  • information for helping you keep your child safe and well
  • information for when your child is unwell or has a health issue

These sections include information about the support available for parents, tamariki and whānau (for example, when your child has a disability or chronic condition) and about how parents and caregivers can best support their tamariki (for example, when your child is receiving health care treatment or when your child is grieving).

KidsHealth is growing all the time so please keep checking back if your topic isn't covered.

Who KidsHealth information is for

New Zealand professionals working with parents and whānau
